This Limited Warranty applies only to Pilling Furniture Brands wooden case goods that have been purchased from an authorized Pilling Furniture dealer. Rights under this warranty apply only to the original purchaser and only upon submission of dated proof of purchase receipt.
Pilling Furniture warrants the products covered by this warranty to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a term of one year from date of purchase. Under the terms of this Limited Warranty, Pilling Furniture dealers may, at their own discretion, repair or replace the defective item. If repair or replacement is not feasible, Pilling Furniture dealers may, at their own discretion, offer or provide a refund, credit, or credit towards future purchases.
Any implied warranties are limited to the duration of the Furniture Limited Warranty - one year from the date of purchase.
Claims made under this Warranty must be directed to the authorized dealer of the original purchase by the original purchaser. The Warranty is not transferrable.
Any claims against this Warranty must initially be presented to the authorized Pilling Furniture dealer, along with dated proof of purchase and possession.
In order to determine if a defect exists and how best to arrange replacement or repair, Pilling Furniture dealers may require photographs of the defect and/or a personal inspection. Photographs almost always facilitate more accurate communication of the complaint and help expedite claims - they are a must.
Pilling Furniture or its dealers assumes no responsibility for incidental or consequential damages.
This warranty is voided if the product is modified or altered in any way after customer takes possession.
Transportation, handling, or delivery damages are not considered defects under this Warranty.
This Warranty applies under conditions of normal residential usage. It does not apply to defects or damage resulting from negligence, abuse, or misuse - including inadequate or improper maintenance, exposure to water, salt, and other chemicals, exposure to extremes in humidity, accidents, or any use for which the product was not designed, including outdoor use, or commercial usage which includes rental, business, commercial, institutional, or other nonresidential use.
This Warranty does not apply to non-defective items even though they may have been shipped as part of the same set.
Because of the craftsmanship involved and the natural material used in the manufacturing process, minor variations will occur from piece to piece. These variations are not considered defects.
Sunlight can cause the finish and the wood underneath to change color. These changes are not considered defects.
Extremes in temperature and humidity can cause damage to the finish and cause wood to shrink, swell, warp, split, and glue seams to fail. These damages are not considered defects.
Direct contact with rubber and some types of plastic materials for long periods of time may chemically damage the finish. This damage is not considered a defect.
It should be noted that a slight softening and loss of resiliency will occur in all foam, polyester fiber, and other filling materials as a normal result of use and aging and is not considered a defect.
Pilling Furniture dealers warrant all our upholstery fabrics and leathers against defective materials and workmanship for one year from date of purchase. This warranty covers seam failure, fabric separation and nap loss. Excluded from warranty are cover pilling, fading, stretching and dye lots.
Natural markings such as scars, brands, grain variations, wrinkles, etc., will be considered normal characteristics and not construed as defects. Nature’s trademarks leave no two cow hides the same, so color variations could occur.
Where there is evidence of excessive soiling, improper cleaning, abuse, or where the fabric or leather has had some form of chemical applied, the fabric/leather warranty will not apply.
Pilling Furniture dealers will honor reasonable and customary labor charges for a period of one year from the original date of sale for the purpose of repair or replacing warranty parts. Warranty service should be performed by a Pilling dealer or Pilling-Certified Service Agent.
Pilling Furniture designed this product for placement for residential use only. Placement in rental property, institutions or any other excessive application voids our warranty.
Claims for service must be accompanied by the necessary information to satisfy warranty requirements, such as the original, dated sales receipt. We reserve the right to require defective parts to be returned to the factory upon request.
In the event of improper use or damage after the sale, this warranty does not apply. Also, this warranty does not cover pickup, inspection, crating or freight charges. Should you have any questions concerning this warranty, please contact your local authorized Pilling Furniture dealer where you purchased the product.
